Qualitative Research Methods in the Service of Health Upplaga 1

The present anthology is the result of the 1st Nordic Interdisciplinary Conference on Qualitative Methods in the Service of Health held at Halmstad University in August 1999. The book is an illustration of the ongoing discussion regarding qualitative research analysis methods within the Nordic countries. Researchers from different disciplines – domestic science, ethnography, medicine, nursing, pedagogy, physiotherapy, psychology, publichealth, sociology and sports science – show how qualitative analysis methods can be used in health research. The theoretical background and practical use of qualitative methods in health research are highlighted in order to contribute to a deeper understanding and reflection and to facilitate an understanding of similarities and differences between different approaches. This anthology targets students at all university levels as well as practising researchers.
